Actresses Stasya Miloslavskaya (“Bull”), Victoria Miroshnichenko (“Dylda”) and Irina Starshenbaum (“T-34”) claimed for the “Golden Eagle” in the nomination “Best Actress in a Film”.
The Golden Eagle Award was established by the National Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Russia in 2002. The president of the academy is director Vladimir Naumov (“Running”, “Tehran 43”). The selection of nominations is carried out by the expert council. The prize is awarded based on the voting results of full members and corresponding members of the academy.
The action of Kantemir Balagov's film "Dylda" takes place in Leningrad in 1945. This is a story about two front-line friends who are trying to start a peaceful life again in post-siege Leningrad. The main roles were played by Victoria Miroshnichenko and Vasilisa Perelygina.
The film had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard official competition program of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival, where the film received two awards at once - for best director and the FIPRESCI award of the International Film Press Federation with the wording: "For the incredible aesthetics of film language and the unique story of post-war trauma." The film was nominated for an Oscar from Russia, but was not among the nominees.
